northwest We are dedicated to the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We serve the children of our members and of the community through the teaching of the Word of God. Our school has existed for over 100 years by the power of the Holy Spirit. We teach children in grades Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Dear Members of the Bethlehem Lutheran School Family,
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! For 113 years our Lord has been blessing the children of Bethlehem and the community through the educational ministry provided by Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Through the church and school, God is “Securing Each Child’s Future…Making Disciples”, our theme for this school year. It is based on John 8:31b - “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.”
Bethlehem Lutheran School focuses on securing each child’s future: whether it be preparing each child for the next grade level, for a life-long appreciation of learning, for a blessed, productive life, or for eternal life. The faith worked by the Holy Spirit through our daily delving into the Word of God Secures Each Child’s Future…Making Disciples fit for service to God, family, community, and country!
The Great Commission given to the Church by Jesus in the last chapter of Matthew is, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Our Lord has been doing that through Bethlehem here in rural Ossian for well over a century. We ask the Lord’s blessing as we strive to carry out that mission during the coming school year.
