northwest We are dedicated to the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We serve the children of our members and of the community through the teaching of the Word of God. Our school has existed for over 100 years by the power of the Holy Spirit. We teach children in grades Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! This is the 111th year that our Lord has been blessing the children of Bethlehem and the community through the educational ministry provided by Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Through the church and school, God is “Securing Each Child’s Future…For Eternity”, our theme for this school year. It is based on John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Bethlehem Lutheran School is all about securing each child’s future: whether it be preparing each child for the next grade level; for a life of service to God, family, community and country; for a life-long appreciation of learning; or for a long, productive life. Most importantly, the faith brought about by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God Secures Each Child’s Future…For Eternity!
The Great Commission given to the Church by Jesus in the last chapter of Matthew is, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Our Lord has been doing that through Bethlehem here in rural Ossian for well over a century. We ask the Lord’s blessing as we strive to carry out that mission during the coming school year.
